Detonator

Name: Detonator

Materials:

• 1 8 AA Battery Holder
• 8 AA's
• Nichrome Wire
  
• 4m Speaker Wire
• 2 Small Aligator Clips
  

Steps:

1. Strip the speaker wire on all ends
2. Connect one end of the speaker wire to the battery pack
   
3. Connect the other end of the speaker wire to the 2 aligator clips
4. Insert a 14cm piece of nichrome wire to the aligator clips
5. Put some flammable tape onto the wire
6. Connect all of the batteries to the holder to start the ignition

Details:

Just because the wire isn’t glowing doesn’t mean that it won’t be hot. The wire can get up to 1400°c, so don’t touch it unless you have disconnected the battery pack an waited 5 minutes. You will need to replace the wire if you have a big fire but it is only like 60c a metre so it’s ok.
